How Was Adam Saved?

1. How was Adam to continue living eternally in the Garden of Eden?

God in the beginning at the Garden of Eden before sin gave Adam and Eve specific instructions as to how they can continue living eternally in paradise.

Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

2. What was the criteria for Adam and Eve to continue living eternally?

As long as Adam and Eve continued to love God, have faithin Him and obeyHIM by not eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they would have remianed in a saving experience forever and ever in the Garden of Eden.

3. What is the equation for Adam and Eve to continue having eternal life?

Love + Faith + Obedience = Eternal Life

4. Did Adam and Eve remain saved in the Garden of Eden?

No! They disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit - Genesis 3:1-5. As a result, they lost eternal life. The devil deceived them.

5. What was the deception made by the devil to Eve regarding salvation?

The devil said, if you eat the forbidden fruit, you shalt not surely die." In other words, the devl said,  "You can disobey God, yet you can continue to live eternally" Let's put it in another way, "YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE WITHOUT OBEDIENCE" OR "YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE WHILE SINNING."

6. WATCH OUT FOR THE DEVIL'S LIE!

Anyone who teaches that one can have eternal life without obedience, know for sure that the devil is talking. Flee from such evil teachings. Those who believe in this false teaching is not from God but of the devil.

7. How Can Adam and Eve have eternal life again after their sin?

Before sin, they did not need a Savior. After sin, they need a Savior. Jesus Christ is to be their Savior from sin, not in sin.

This time after sin, they can only have eternal life through Jesus Christ by:

(i) Confessing their sins

(ii) Repenting from their sins - [turning away from disobdience to obedience].

(iii) Love Jesus Christ for saving them from eternal death - [being their substitute].

(iv) Have faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior that He can forgive their past sin committed and for keeping them free from sinning in the future,

(v) Obey the law of God since sin is the transgression of the law.

8. Jesus Christ became the Sacrifice in their place - Revelation 13:8

In order for Adam and Eve to be saved and have eternal life again, they have to believe in the plan of salvation offered and obey explicitly - Genesis 3:15.

They need to bring a lamb to sacrifice. This lamb represents Jesus Christ who will come later in the future and be crucifed as the sacrifice for their sin at Calvary.

First they must have faith in the plan of salvation to bring a lamb. In their faith in the plan of salvation, they must obey to bring a lamb and sacrifice it. They must also confess and repent from sin.

If Adam and Eve professed to believe in Christ (the plan of salvation) and claimed to have faith but do not obey to bring a lamb and do the sacifice, hence, their past sin committed will not be forgiven and eternal life will not be assured again to them.

9. How Was Adam Saved After His Sin?

Adam was saved again by his reponse of love, confession, repentance, faith, and obedience to the grace of God through Jesus Christ being the sacrifice. He demonstrated his love, confession, repentance, faith and obedience to God in the sacrifice offered to God.

10. Can someone be saved by just having faith alone without obedience?

No! The criteria for salvation is found in how Adam was saved and it sets the same condition to the rest of the generations to follow.

If one reads the book of Romans or Galatians and interprets salvation to contradict the criteria on how to be saved given to Adam as the first sinner, then you ought to know for sure that this teacher or preacher is enhancing the devil's philosophy used upon Eve at the Garden of Eden where he said, "Eve can disobey God and yet still be saved." - [Refer to points 5 & 6 above.]

I repeat, should anyone teach or preach another salvation gospel apart from this one given on how Adam and Eve were to be saved, know for sure that it is from the devil.

The devil told Eve that she can have eternal life in disobdience. This is contrary to the teaching of salvation.

In actual fact, the teaching of one is saved by "faith alone" is contrary to the Word of God. This echoes the devil's very words to Eve in the garden of Eden where she can be saved without obedience. In other words, the devil says that Eve can be saved in sin. She can be saved while in a sinful status.

The belief that says, "We will continue to sin until Jesus Christ returns" is also echoing the devil's voice.

Any belief that teaches that one can be saved in sin is really of the devil and should be counteracted strongly by all Christians so that it does not prevail in any church.
