WHO IS THE REMNANT?
If you asked this question above to anyone who is a Christian, they will probably tell you that their own church is the remnant. When they tell you that their own church is the remnant, they are virtually referring to the Organized Church.
Many Organized Churches have made the claim that they are the Remnant. The Catholic Church, The SDA Church. The Latter Day Saints Church, The Jehovah's Witness Church, The Assemblies of God Church, The Methosdist Church, and many other churches have made this claim that they are the Remnant Church of God, meaning they are the Church that has the truth.
Also behind this claim of the Remnant by some of these churches is the belief that they got to evangelize others to bring them into their own church by baptism. If people are not baptized and join their churches, they don't see them as being converted but being lost.Baptism is the sign of conversion to the Remnant Church.
1. Is the Orgnized Church the Remnant?
No! Jesus tells of a parable in Matthew 13:24-40 of the wheat and the tares. The tares represent the wicked ones in an Organized Church - (verse 38). The wheat are the righteous and they are the Remnant. Since both the wheat and the tares could be found in the Organized Church, thus, the Organized Church or the local congregation is not the Remnant. The wicked represent the devil's followers and the wheat represent Christ's followers. The tares are found amongst the remnant, the wheat - but the tares are not the remnant. Just because the wicked are in the same church as the righteous, that does not qualify the wicked to become the followers of Christ. The tares can become the wheat by repentance. Without repentance the tares remain tares.
The wheat can loose their remnant status and become tares if they commit sin. The Organized Church itself is not the remnant.
2. What is the make up of the wheat that makes them the Remnant?
Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
3. What is the identity of the Remnant Church of God according to Revelation 12:17?
(i) Those who keep the commandments of God.
(ii) Those who have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
So inside the Organized Church, those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ are the REMNANT. They may be found in any denomination.
One can be in the Organized Church but if he/she does not keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ; he/she is NOT the Remnant.
Again, the REMNANT is not the Organized Church - it is those who keep the commandmetns of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
4. What is the function of the Organized Church?
The function of the Orgnized Church is to teach and preach TRUTH from the Scriptures so that the members can believe the TRUTH that the Commandments can be kept perfectly, and a life without transgression of the law (sinlessness) is possible. If the Organized Church who claims to be the Remnant teaches the opposite, know for certain that this Organized Church is not from God.
Note - It is possible for the Organized Church before in the past to have believed and preached the TRUTH.  But since the pioneers or founders of the Organized Church have passed away, new teachings may have crept into the Church and now the Church may have become apostatized in her beliefs and teachings.
The Apostolic Church in the New Testament after Jesus Christ's death is a classical example of apostasy that crept into the church after the disciples died.
You should continously check out the teachings of your Organized Church to ensure that she is still faithful to the Scriptures and Jesus Christ.
Important Points:
(a) If the Organized Church (system) does not believe that the Commandments of God could be kept perfectly through divine power, then, how can the members become the Remnant? The problem in here lies with the Organized Church's heretical teachings.
(b) If the Orgnized Church (system) does not believe that the members can live a life without sin through divine power, then, how can the members become the Remnant? The problem in here lies with the Organized Church's heretical teachings
(c) Many Organized Churches today believe that it is impossible to keep the Commandments of God perfectly even by divine power. They also believe that a sinless life is impossible by God's power. Therefore, these Organized Churches are not helping their members to become the Remnant and be saved. Apparently, they are false Churches teaching Babylonian doctrines. Some faithful members to Christ may be in the organized church that is teaching error, but they may not know of the false teachings in the Church, so they can be saved despite the false teachings. The moment they find out the false teachings within the Church, these faithful members to Christ will search for another church that teaches truth.
ONce you find out that your church is teaching error, you can decide to come out of those Organized Churches for they are Babylon. That is not a sin to come out because they are leading the members to hell, and not to eternal life. It is obvious that the devil is now using those Organized Churches that perhaps before they may have preached and taught TRUTH.
5. What does the Bible tell us about the Remnant in relation to the keeping of the Commandments?
Revelation 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
7. Who is the Remnant according to Revelation 14:12?
(i) The saints keep the Commandments of God.
(ii) They have the faith of Jesus Christ.
The word,"They" does not refer to the Organized Church. It refers to "whosoever."
8. What is the criteria for Jesus Christ's earthly family to become the Remnant?
Mark 3:35 - "For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother."
If Jesus Christ's earthly mother and brothers do not keep the Commandments of His heavenly Father, they cannot be the Remnant on earth and the kingdom to come. They cannot be saved. The criteria of the Remnant for us is the same to Jesus Christ's own family. Jesus Christ's family had no advantage over the rest of humanity when it comes to salvation and becoming the Remnant.
9. Was the standard of becoming the Remnant different from previous generations in the Old Testament?
No!. The criteria is the same throughout all generations beginning from Adam and Eve to the last person on earth at Jesus Christ's return. Ecclesiastes 12:13 says - "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His Commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Cain and Abel received the same spiritual lessons from their parents, Adam and Eve. Abel was the Remnant since he kept the commandments of God. He was the wheat. Abel represents Christ. Cain was not the remnant, he was the tare. Cain represents the devil. Abel and Cain are both not the remnant. Abel was the remnant and Cain was not.
10. What was the Organized Church that Abel belonged to on earth?
Abel belonged to Jesus Christ. He had no orgnized church on earth. Jesus Christ.was the Head of the Church that Abel belonged to. To belong to Jesus Christ is far more important then to belong to an organized church and continue to live a life of sinfulness.
11. Which Church is the visbile Church on earth? SDA Church? Latter Day Saints? Jehovah's Witness? Catholic Church? etc...?
Anyone who keeps the commandments of God is the church on earth and they are the Remant Church of God.. They are the visible church on earth. They are the light. They are the salt of the earth. They are the Remnant on earth which are visible by their Christlike characters; not the buildings, programs, etc. The Orgnized Church is NOT the visible church on earth - [Rev 14:12; 12:17; Matthew 5:13-14].
11. Was Enoch the Remnant on earth at his time?
Yes!. Enoch was the visible church on earth. What was the name of his oranized church? .... Not told. Not that important. What matters most is, Enoch kept the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ.
Elijah was also the visible church at his time. Elisha was too.
12. Was Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego the Remnant Church on earth at their time?
Yes! They kept the Commandments of God and had the testimony of Jesus Christ. They became the visible church in Babylon. They were the light and salt in Babylon.
Joseph was the visible church in Egypt. Moses was too in Egypt later. Joshua and Caleb were the visible church amongst the other ten spies sent out to spy Canaan. The other ten spies were the tares misrepresenting God's church.
13. Can I be saved if I don't belong to the Orgnized Church on earth that teaches error?
Yes! I am not saved by the Orgnized Church. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ - Acts 4:12; John 14:6, John 3:16. I can leave the Organized Church at any time and still be able to find salvation in Jesus Christ. I can still be able to keep the Commandments of God and yet not belong those big Organized Churches.
I do not need to belong to the SDA Church to be able to keep the true Sabbath, do I? ...
14. What is the problem faced by the members of an Organized Church who self claimed to be the Remnant?
(i) It miscontrues the Scripture and brain washes the members to believe that the Organized Church is the Remnant instead of those who keep the Commadments.of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ.
(ii) It makes the members to believe that since she is the Remnant Church of God, therefore, she cannot be apostatized or become Babylon in the future.
(iii) It makes the members to believe that if they were to leave the Organized Church, there is no other Church on earth that is the Remnant.
(iv) It brainwashes the members to believe that they cannot be saved if they left the organized church.
HOPE THAT YOU ARE NOT DECEIVED BY THE SO CALLED ORGANIZED CHURCHES THAT MADE THE CLAIM THAT THEY ARE THE REMNANT CHURCH OF GOD.
THE CHURCH I ATTEND FOR SERVICES DOES NOT CLAIM THAT SHE IS THE REMNANT CHURCH OF GOD. OUR CHURCH CHALLENGES THE MEMBERS OF THE CONGREGATION TO LOVE GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND WHOEVER DOES IS THE REMNANT FOR GOD KNOWS. [JOHN 14:15]
